There Peak rubber soles are lightweight with winter specific multi-directional lugs that provide a secure step in any weather.
These boots are crafted with Seam Sealed Waterproof Construction, which combines a waterproof suede upper, nylon gusset tongue, and rubber shell to keep feet dry.
A removable EVA antibacterial insole supports and cradles the foot for all day comfort. The fixed 200B Thinsulate™ and foam insulation provide cold comfort up to -25˚F / –32˚C. Thinsulate™ is a unique micro fiber developed by 3M, Thinsulate™, that has more surface area to trap warm air, insulating better than other high loft insulations, including down. The faux fur snow collar at the top of the boot is soft to the touch but tough on snow.
These boots have been Performance-tested and certified to -25˚F or –32˚C by the Center for Textile Technology in Quebec. At Kamik they test all their products in-house to ensure they meet their strict quality standards. Then they send them to an outside testing centre (Performance Testing Council Inc.) for further rigorous tests. Please remember that how you perceive temperature can also depend on exposure time, proper dress for weather conditions, perspiration and other factors.
