Todays wool felt cowboy hats bear a resemblance to the more costly fur cowboy hat, without the added cost. Although similar in appearance, wool blend hats are offered with more crown creases because they cannot be steamed and reshaped as easily as fur blend hats. Some of the creases available are cattleman, pinchfront, bullrider, gus, and gambler crowns. The variety of crowns allows cowboys the ability to customize their look.
