Usually associate with the men of business, fedoras have gained in popularity over the years and are seen on the heads of all types of men. Most fedoras have teardrop shaped crowns, pinchfronts, which are creased lengthwise down the front with a pinch in the sides. Other fedora crown creases commonly seen are the center dent and diamond crown. The brims on these hats are narrow and some, with snap-brims, can be flipped down in front.
Fedoras saw a serge in popularity during the Prohibition Era. 1950’s Hollywood film stars added to the fedora’s popularity. Celebrities are still spotted in fedoras at premiers, award shows, and around town.
