The Larry Mahan Hat Collection has many hats for many cowboy hat enthusiasts to choose from. The Patriota, a 6X fur cowboy hat, is another hat that may be the perfect hat for you. This hat includes a cattleman crown and a 4” brim with a gold and silver three piece set on top of a self matching hat band. The three piece set includes an eagle concho to give this hat a patriotic look, if you will. The lining is white satin with a picturesque cowboy behind the Larry Mahan Hat Collection logo. Available in sizes 6 1/2 to 8.

Born November 21, 1943 in Salem, Oregon, Larry Mahan began competing in the professional rodeo circuit at the age of 14. He won the title of World All-Around Rodeo Champion five years in a row, 1966 to 1970, and again for the sixth time in 1973. After his comeback in 1973, competing with Phil Lyne, he became the subject of the documentary, “The Great American Cowboy” which won an Academy Award in 1973. In 1979 Mahan was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

After his rodeo career came to an end, he founded the Larry Mahan Collection line of western wear. In July 1984, Milano Hat Company entered into a licensing agreement with Larry Mahan to market Western hats under the Larry Mahan's® Hat Collection.
Milano Hat Company only uses genuine leather sweatbands in their hats are made here in the USA! All Larry Mahan Collection hats are made in their factory in Garland, Texas. They perforate most of the straw hat leather sweatbands for added comfort. To ensure the consistent fit and comfort, their leather suppliers buff the reverse side of the leathers for the best possible feel.
