RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

At Hatcountry we aim to please, but if you are for any reason unhappy with the item you purchased please contact us within 20 days of the items ship date by e-mailing us at returns.exchanges@hatcountry.com or call 1-800-915-HATS (4287) so that we can issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#). Please note that all closeout sales are final.

All refunds and exchanges must be requested within 20 days of the original delivery date, except during the holiday period as outlined below. All items must be returned to Hatcountry at customer's expense within 30 days of the original delivery date. Any items received by us after 30 days from original delivery date will be refused or returned to sender at customer's expense. Exceptions will be made for international shipments.

Custom Boxes: All returns must be properly packaged. Boot boxes and custom hat boxes CANNOT be used as the shipping box. Put all returns in the original, or equal quality, cardboard shipping box. Custom hat and boot boxes are considered a part of the product and any custom box that is received in damaged condition, which includes, but is not limited to, being taped shut, written on, cut, dented, or otherwise damaged will be subject to a 20% restocking fee, regardless of exchange or return.

All items returned to us, regardless of exchange or return, must include a note with detailed written instructions. Notes must include your order number, whether you are just returning, or, if exchanging for another item, the style, color and size of that item. Any returns that do not comply with the following applicable criteria will be shipped back to you at your own cost:
*Closeout sales are FINAL and will not be accepted for returns or exchanges.
*A valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be clearly marked on the exterior of the box.
*Products must be in unused condition, and cannot show signs of wear, which include but are not limited to, removal of tags, finger prints, makeup or sweat stains, interior dirt, reshaping, scuffs, tears, or removal of hat bands and accessories, are NOT eligible for return or exchange.
*Products must be in their original packaging, including any packaging paper, plastic bags, air fill, and cardboard inserts.
*All manufacturer tags and stickers MUST be attached.
*Items must be properly packaged. Hats damaged because of improper packaging will NOT be accepted.
*When returning boots, shoes, or boxed hats, do NOT use the custom manufacturer's box as the outer shipping box. Any custom box received damaged will be subject to a re-stocking fee as outlined above. Place all custom boxes in a proper cardboard shipping box.
*Do not add Styrofoam pellets to the box. They make a mess and we try our best to use Green shipping methods.

Hatcountry does not cover the shipping cost unless the item delivered was damaged upon receipt or the wrong item was shipped. If this happens to be the case contact us immediately and provide explanation of said damage so that we may take appropriate action. A digital image must be supplied to info@hatcountry.com showing proof of damage to the item or that the wrong item was shipped by our warehouse. We must be contacted within 1 week of the delivery date. If we are contacted after 1 week, we will assume that the product was not damaged during delivery, but through use.

Holiday Returns: All holiday orders placed between November 1 and December 25th qualify for a returns approval (RMA) through January 15th. After January 25th we will no longer accept any holiday returns or exchanges. Holiday returns are subject to the standard return policy.

Hatcountry will open and inspect all returned items in the order they arrive to our warehouse. All refunds and exchanges will be processed as quickly as possible, generally within 1-2 weeks, though during heavier seasons this timeline may be subject to change. Please allow 4-7 weeks for special order items to be produced prior to re-shipment.

Exchanges: Customers are responsible for all re-shipping costs. Re-shipping costs for all exchanges will be based on the weight of the item and zip code. In most cases it will be equal to the original shipping cost for the item.

Returns: A standard $5.00 or 10% up to $15.00, whichever is greater, restocking fee will be applied to all “Standard Order” returns. Special order items manufactured specifically for the customer are subject to a 20% restocking fee per item on returns and exchanges, where the value of a single item is over $100.00. Production items are marked in the item descriptions. Shipping charges will NOT be refunded. 

Cancellation Information: Your credit card will be billed at time of purchase. If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us within 24 hours of the purchase and we will refund your credit card. We will only be able to cancel the order if it has not been picked for shipping by one of our warehouses. If you wish to cancel your order after 24 hours have past, a $15.00 or 15% of purchase price restocking fee, whichever is greater, will apply to all special orders.

The above stated Returns and Exchange Policy is FINAL. Our arrangements with our suppliers and manufacturers allow us no room to make exceptions. Hatcountry reserves the right on all exchanges or refunds to have the final say.
